Quote Summary

This proposal is for the professional installation of approximately 2,695 square feet of artificial turf within a defined portion of Sameh Soliman’s backyard at 12513 Petaluma Road, Victorville, CA 92392. Although the property has a substantially larger backyard, this project is intentionally limited to the approved landscaped section shown and discussed during the estimate. The turf area will extend generally from fence to fence and will terminate near the existing marker/sign beneath the tree toward the middle portion of the property. The large remaining dirt section beyond that termination line is not included.

Existing Conditions and Site Preparation

The designated installation area currently consists primarily of dirt and dead vegetation. Kreative Gardens will perform a complete standard artificial turf installation, including clearing and removal of dead vegetation and unsuitable surface material, excavation as required to establish proper finished elevations, rough and finish grading, installation of commercial-grade weed-barrier fabric, placement of Class II road base, mechanical compaction, final grading, turf installation, perimeter fastening, seaming where required, infill application, power brushing, and final cleanup.

The base will be distributed, graded, moistened as necessary, and mechanically compacted to create a stable and uniform foundation for the artificial grass while maintaining practical transitions to the existing brick, concrete, planters, trees, and surrounding landscape features that will remain.

Existing Brick and Planter Features

Several existing brick areas, walkways, and planter features will remain incorporated into the finished landscape. Kreative Gardens will clean selected exposed brick surfaces and edges as reasonably necessary to improve their appearance and create cleaner transitions between the existing hardscape and the new artificial turf. The turf will be carefully measured, cut, fitted, secured, and tucked around these existing features.

The existing landscape blocks surrounding certain planter areas are presently dry-stacked and not mortared or permanently secured. These blocks will remain in their current condition. Kreative Gardens will install and finish the turf around them, but the project does not include rebuilding, straightening, leveling, resetting, mortaring, reinforcing, or otherwise modifying the loose planter blocks.

Perimeter Construction and Planting Areas

Along the planting area located near the right-side property fence, pressure-treated lumber edging will be installed to establish a defined separation between the new artificial turf and the existing plants and exposed soil. The existing plants within that defined planting area will remain.

A flexible bender-board border with an approximately 2-foot radius will be formed around the existing tree to preserve a planting opening and create a clean transition between the tree area and the artificial turf.

Where the artificial turf terminates against exposed soil and no existing brick, concrete, block, or other suitable hard boundary is available, Kreative Gardens will install pressure-treated wood perimeter boards. These boards will provide a solid structural edge for securing and tucking the artificial turf and will help maintain a clean, defined finished perimeter.

Irrigation and Drainage

Existing sprinkler heads located within the new artificial turf footprint will be identified and capped below the finished grade as part of the installation under normal accessible conditions.

No new underground drainage system, catch basins, French drains, or drainage piping are included. The project will rely on the property’s existing drainage conditions together with the permeability of the prepared aggregate base and artificial turf system. Final grading will follow practical existing elevations and will be performed with the intent of avoiding unnecessary low areas within the approved project footprint.

Maya 80 Revival Artificial Turf

For quoting purposes, the selected artificial turf model is Maya 80 Revival. This model uses a highly permeable SUPER FLOW-style backing and is intended for residential landscape applications where dependable drainage and a natural finished appearance are important.

Sameh has also been provided with three additional approved artificial turf samples. The quoted project price will remain the same regardless of which of the provided turf models is selected, provided the final selection is confirmed before materials are ordered and remains one of the approved options presented for this project.

The selected turf will be positioned to maintain appropriate fiber direction, trimmed around the existing brickwork, planter blocks, trees, planting areas, and other permanent boundaries, joined where required, securely fastened, filled, and mechanically brushed for a clean finished appearance. Final seam locations and material quantities may vary based on manufactured roll widths, grain direction, irregular boundaries, field conditions, and material efficiency.

Family- and Pet-Conscious CamoFill Infill

Because the completed lawn will be used by both children and pets, Kreative Gardens will use CamoFill performance infill rather than traditional black crumb-rubber infill or ordinary untreated silica sand. CamoFill provides the ballast necessary to help stabilize the turf system, supports the individual grass fibers, assists blade recovery after foot and pet traffic, and provides antimicrobial protection intended to help inhibit odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew.

CamoFill is especially appropriate for a residential family-use area where children and pets will regularly play on the lawn. In addition to helping maintain the appearance and performance of the turf, it provides a cleaner, more suitable infill choice for this type of backyard environment when combined with normal turf care and pet maintenance.

Pet waste must still be removed promptly, and frequently used urination areas should be rinsed regularly, particularly during warm and dry weather. No turf or infill system is maintenance-free or guaranteed to permanently eliminate pet odors.

Optional Tan Vinyl Privacy Fence

As an additional option, this proposal includes approximately 125 linear feet of 6-foot-tall TAN vinyl privacy fencing. The quoted fence is specifically based on the tan/beige color requested for the property. White vinyl is generally less expensive, but the pricing shown here is for the tan material and should not be compared directly with standard white-fence pricing.

The fence option is priced at $7,900 standard or $7,500 cash. Fence installation will be performed by a qualified fencing subcontractor coordinated through Kreative Gardens. Final material ordering is subject to confirmation of tan-vinyl availability, and the approximately 125-linear-foot quantity will be field-verified before materials are ordered.

The fence option is separate from the artificial turf scope and may be accepted or declined independently. If both the artificial turf and tan vinyl privacy fence are selected, the combined pricing is $25,400 standard or $24,000 cash.

Project Pricing and Completion

The standard finance or credit-card project price for the complete approximately 2,695-square-foot artificial turf installation is $17,500. A discounted $16,500 cash price is available. Financing is available for qualified customers.

The optional tan vinyl privacy fence is $7,900 standard or $7,500 cash. The fence is not included in the main turf total unless specifically selected by Sameh and Delia.

Under normal access, weather, soil, material, and concealed site conditions, the turf project is expected to require approximately three working days. Fence scheduling will be coordinated separately based on subcontractor scheduling and confirmed tan-vinyl material availability.

Artificial Grass Installation Procedure

Artificial Grass Installation

The following outlines our complete, industry-standard installation process, which fully rebuilds the foundation that was missing from the existing system and ensures proper drainage, stability, and longevity.

Our installation begins by clearing the designated area of any existing grass, debris, and organic material.

The surface is then graded for proper drainage and compacted to create a stable sub-base.
‍
A layer of crushed aggregate is installed and compacted — usually around 2–3 inches deep, depending on soil conditions and usage requirements. The base is mechanically compacted to approximately 90–95% density to prevent future settling and maintain a stable, even surface.

Once leveled, a commercial-grade weed barrier is laid over the compacted base to help prevent weed growth while allowing for drainage.

Next, the artificial grass is carefully rolled out and trimmed to fit the design. It is secured using 5" non-galvanized nails, placed approximately every 5 inches along the perimeter and every 12 inches within the interior of the turf. Seams are carefully joined to ensure durability and visual continuity.

Finally, the turf fibers are brushed upright and infilled with a material such as silica sand, antimicrobial, odor trapping, or cooling infill, depending on the application. This step enhances stability, appearance, and longevity. The area is then cleaned and groomed for a polished finish.

Decorative Rock Installation Procedure

Our decorative rock installations begin by carefully outlining the designated areas and removing any existing vegetation, debris, loose soil, or obstructions that could interfere with a stable installation. In many cases, this includes removing existing decorative rock, weeds, or organic material that has accumulated over time. The area is then lightly graded to create a smooth and even subgrade, eliminating low spots where water or debris might collect.

Once the surface is prepared, we install a commercial-grade 4oz woven weed barrier fabric designed to suppress weed growth while still allowing water to drain through the soil naturally. The fabric is overlapped at seams and securely pinned using landscape staples to prevent movement over time and to ensure continuous weed protection across the entire installation area.

Depending on the site conditions and the customer’s preference, we may install an optional graded and compacted base layer, typically consisting of Class II road base. When used, this base layer is usually installed at a depth of approximately 2–3 inches and compacted with vibratory plate compactors to create a firm, stable surface.

This optional base layer offers several advantages:

• Improves long-term stability of the decorative rock
• Reduces settling and migration of the rock into the soil
• Enhances drainage and prevents muddy conditions after rain
• Provides a smoother and more level finished surface

However, in many residential decorative rock installations—particularly where soil is already firm and well-draining—the base layer may be omitted to reduce cost and installation time. In these cases, the weed barrier fabric is installed directly over the prepared soil, and the decorative rock itself provides sufficient coverage and stability for the landscape application.

After the base preparation (if selected) and weed barrier installation are complete, the chosen decorative rock—such as river rock, crushed gravel, lava rock, or other decorative aggregates—is carefully distributed across the area at the specified depth. The material is evenly spread to achieve consistent coverage and proper thickness, typically ranging from 2 to 3 inches depending on the rock size and design requirements.

The surface is then final-raked and sculpted to create a clean, professional finish with smooth transitions and an even distribution of material. Special attention is given to shaping around trees, plants, irrigation components, and architectural features to maintain both functionality and visual appeal.

If required for the design, steel edging or bender board edging is installed along borders to contain the decorative rock and clearly define landscaped areas. Edging helps maintain crisp lines between rock, turf, concrete, or planting areas and prevents rock migration over time.

The result is a low-maintenance, visually appealing landscape surface that improves drainage, reduces weed growth, and enhances the overall curb appeal of the property.

Decomposed Granite (DG) Installation Procedure

Our decomposed granite installations start with clearing the designated area of grass, roots, and debris to establish a clean and stable foundation. Once the area is excavated and leveled, we install bender board or metal edging to contain the DG and create defined borders that prevent spreading over time.

A commercial-grade weed barrier fabric is laid down to inhibit weed growth while still allowing water to permeate through. This ensures a clean, low-maintenance finish over the long term.

We then apply a base layer of compacted Class II road base or crushed rock, typically around 2–3 inches deep, depending on site conditions and expected foot traffic. This base layer is leveled and compacted using a vibratory plate compactor to provide a stable sub-surface.

Next, we spread the decomposed granite evenly across the area in lifts of approximately 1.5 inches each. After each layer is spread, we lightly moisten the surface with water to aid in compaction and binding, then use the compactor again to press it into place. This process is repeated as needed until the final desired depth—usually around 2–3 inches total—is achieved.

We use stabilized DG upon request, which includes a binding agent to help the surface resist erosion and maintain a firmer finish under traffic. The final surface is lightly misted and compacted again for a smooth, walkable, and professional finish.

Paver Installation Procedure

Our paver installations begin with thorough site preparation, which includes marking the layout, removing any vegetation, and excavating the area to a depth that accommodates the paver thickness plus the required base layers—typically 7 to 9 inches total, depending on traffic load.

We then install edge restraints (such as bender board or concrete curbing) to maintain the integrity of the layout and prevent shifting over time.

A weed barrier fabric is laid down over the subgrade to reduce weed growth without impeding drainage.Next, we apply a compacted Class II road base or ¾” crushed aggregate in lifts of approximately 2–3 inches, compacting thoroughly after each lift using a vibratory plate compactor. This base layer is usually 4 to 6 inches thick, depending on whether the application is pedestrian or vehicular.

Over the compacted base, we spread a 1-inch bedding layer of washed concrete sand or similar material. This layer is carefully screeded to create a smooth, level surface that will support the pavers evenly.

Pavers are then laid by hand, following the desired pattern (e.g., herringbone, running bond, basketweave). We use spacers or consistent joints to allow for joint sand and proper interlocking.

Once all pavers are laid, we cut edge pieces as needed using a masonry saw or splitter to achieve a clean perimeter fit. After the entire surface is in place, we compact the pavers with a vibratory plate compactor fitted with a rubber pad to avoid surface damage.

We then apply polymeric sand or regular joint sand across the surface and sweep it into the joints. Polymeric sand is preferred for its binding and weed-prevention properties. The surface is compacted once more to help settle the sand.

Finally, for polymeric sand, we lightly mist the surface to activate the binding agent, resulting in a durable, low-maintenance, and visually appealing finish.

Stepping Stones Installation Procedure

The installation of stepping stones begins with careful planning and layout, ensuring proper spacing for comfortable walking. Typically, we maintain a distance of 18 to 24 inches (center to center) between stones to match the average human stride.

We begin by marking the path and then removing any grass or vegetation in each spot where a stone will be placed. Each area is excavated individually to a depth of approximately 2 to 4 inches, depending on the thickness of the stones and desired finish height.

Next, we install a weed barrier fabric under each stone location to help prevent weed growth while allowing drainage. A compacted base layer of decomposed granite (DG), sand, or crushed gravel is then added to each cavity, typically 1 to 2 inches thick, and compacted by hand to create a stable and level foundation.

Each stepping stone is then set into place manually, ensuring it sits level with the surrounding grade and is stable under foot pressure. We use a level and rubber mallet to adjust and secure each stone. The goal is a flush finish with just enough elevation to allow water runoff and avoid pooling.

If requested or aesthetically appropriate, we fill the joints between stones with decorative gravel, bark, DG, or artificial turf strips, depending on the overall landscaping theme and drainage requirements.

Once all stepping stones are in place and stable, we conduct a final inspection and make any necessary adjustments to ensure a safe, durable, and visually balanced pathway.

Concrete Installation Procedure

Our concrete installation process for residential patios, walkways, grill pads, and light-use driveways begins with site preparation and grading. We start by marking the layout, removing any vegetation, and excavating the area to a depth of approximately 4 to 6 inches, depending on the application and soil conditions.

A Class II road base or crushed gravel layer is then installed, typically 2 to 4 inches thick, and compacted thoroughly using a vibratory plate compactor. This creates a solid and stable foundation that prevents cracking and shifting over time.

Next, forms are constructed using high-quality lumber to define the edges and maintain consistent thickness and slope. We ensure that the concrete will drain away from any structures, avoiding pooling or water damage. If necessary, expansion joints or control joints are planned and marked to minimize cracking.

We then place concrete reinforcement, usually welded wire mesh or #3 rebar on chairs, based on project needs. This reinforcement adds tensile strength to help resist cracking and shifting.

A ready-mix concrete blend is then poured on-site, typically in the 3,000–3,500 psi range, which is ideal for residential use while allowing for ease of finishing. Our crew levels and floats the concrete, followed by edging and finishing the surface based on your selected texture—broom finish, smooth trowel, or decorative stamped finish.

Control joints are cut within 24 hours to prevent future cracking due to expansion and contraction.

After the surface has cured enough for final touch-ups, we apply curing compound (if requested) and rope off the area to protect it during the curing process. Light foot traffic is typically allowed after 24–48 hours, while vehicles should avoid driving on the slab for at least 7 days.

The result is a clean, durable concrete surface, ready to support daily use, outdoor furniture, BBQ grills, and more—adding both function and elegance to your outdoor space.

Hazard Mitigation Procedure

This quote is limited to the approximately 2,695-square-foot artificial turf installation within the approved backyard project limits described in the Quote Summary, together with the separately priced optional approximately 125-linear-foot tan vinyl privacy fence if that option is selected. The following items are not included unless specifically added through a written change order:

Landscaping, artificial turf, cleanup, grading, or other work in the large remaining dirt section beyond the approved termination line near the existing marker/sign beneath the center tree.
Rebuilding, straightening, leveling, resetting, mortaring, cementing, reinforcing, repairing, or structurally modifying the existing dry-stacked planter blocks. These blocks will remain in their present condition.
Major repair, replacement, resetting, re-leveling, reconstruction, sealing, restoration, or structural modification of the existing brick patios, walkways, borders, or planter features. Included brick work is limited to reasonable surface/edge cleaning needed to improve the visible transition where turf is installed.
Removal, relocation, pruning, replacement, treatment, or irrigation modification of existing trees, shrubs, or plants that are designated to remain.
Tree removal, stump grinding, arborist services, major root excavation, root barriers, or any guarantee against future root growth beneath or adjacent to the artificial turf.
Installation of new drains, catch basins, French drains, dry wells, sump systems, channel drains, underground drainage pipe, or other new drainage infrastructure.
Correction of flooding, groundwater, off-site runoff, neighboring drainage conditions, inadequate downstream drainage capacity, or pre-existing drainage deficiencies outside normal turf grading.
New irrigation systems, new sprinkler heads, drip irrigation, valves, controllers, or major irrigation rerouting. Included irrigation work is limited to capping accessible sprinkler heads encountered within the approved turf footprint.
Repair or relocation of concealed irrigation, electrical, gas, plumbing, drainage, low-voltage wiring, utility lines, or other underground systems not visible during the estimate.
Major excavation, engineered grading, soil stabilization, compaction testing, geotechnical services, retaining walls, erosion-control systems, or remediation of unstable, expansive, contaminated, rocky, or otherwise unsuitable soil.
Removal of buried concrete, large rocks, construction debris, undocumented footings, extensive root systems, buried stumps, or other significant concealed subsurface obstructions requiring substantial additional labor or equipment.
Repair, replacement, or modification of house structures, patios, concrete, utilities, or other improvements adjacent to the project.
New decorative rock, mulch, planting soil, trees, shrubs, plants, landscape lighting, furniture, play equipment, irrigation for planting beds, or other landscape enhancements not specifically described in this proposal.
Complete or permanent elimination of pet odors. CamoFill assists with odor management but requires prompt waste removal, routine rinsing, cleaning, and ongoing maintenance.
Damage caused by pets or other animals digging, chewing, scratching, pulling, or damaging turf, seams, perimeter boards, bender board, infill, base, or fastening systems.
Damage caused by reflective window glare, concentrated sunlight, grills, fire pits, hot coals, cigarettes, fireworks, chemicals, sharp objects, vehicles, heavy equipment, flooding, soil movement, tree roots, rodents, wildlife, or work performed by others.
Permits, HOA or architectural approvals, engineering, surveys, inspections, or governmental fees unless specifically required and added in writing.
Additional square footage, changes to the approved turf project boundary, changes to planting-bed dimensions, additional edging, or work required because of concealed or unforeseen conditions.
Fence exclusions: gates, gate hardware, specialty lattice or decorative tops, retaining walls, masonry columns, electrical work, lighting, staining/painting, custom post caps, or fence features not expressly described in the optional tan privacy-fence scope.
Fence repairs or modifications outside the approved approximately 125-linear-foot scope, or additional fence length requested after field verification.
Extra excavation, demolition, concrete removal, rock excavation, root removal, utility relocation, or other concealed-condition work required for fence posts beyond normal residential fence installation. Any such condition will be reviewed before additional work proceeds.
Any price difference caused by a customer-requested change in fence color, style, height, material, layout, or hardware after the tan privacy-fence materials are confirmed and ordered.

Existing Brick and Planters

Existing brick patios, walkways, borders, and selected planter features will remain in place and will be incorporated into the finished landscape.
Kreative Gardens will clean exposed brick surfaces and edges only where reasonably necessary to improve the appearance of the transition to the new turf.
The existing planter blocks are dry-stacked and are not mortared. They will remain as-is and are not being rebuilt, straightened, leveled, cemented, or structurally repaired.
The turf will be professionally cut, fitted, secured, and tucked around the existing retained features.

Perimeter and Planting Areas

Pressure-treated wood will be installed where the turf terminates against exposed soil and no suitable existing hard boundary is available.
The right-side planting area near the fence will remain open around the existing plants and will be separated from the turf with pressure-treated lumber edging.
An approximately 2-foot-radius bender-board opening will be formed around the existing tree.
Existing plants and the tree designated to remain are not being removed or relocated.

Preparation, Irrigation, and Drainage

The existing project area consists primarily of dirt and dead vegetation and will receive a complete standard artificial turf preparation, including excavation as required, weed barrier, Class II road base, grading, and mechanical compaction.
Sprinkler heads encountered within the artificial turf footprint will be capped below finished grade under normal accessible conditions.
No new underground drainage system is included. The finished installation will rely on existing site drainage, practical grading, the compacted aggregate base, and the permeability of the turf system.

Turf Selection

The quoted turf model is Maya 80 Revival.
Sameh has three additional approved turf samples available for final selection.
The project price will remain the same for any of the approved models presented, provided the selection is confirmed before materials are ordered.
Artificial grass has a directional grain. Fiber direction, seam location, sunlight, viewing angle, and surrounding shade may create normal differences in appearance or sheen.

Children, Pets, and CamoFill

The backyard is expected to be used by both children and pets, so CamoFill performance infill is included.
CamoFill adds ballast, supports turf fibers, assists blade recovery, and provides antimicrobial protection intended to help inhibit odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew.
Solid pet waste should be removed promptly. Frequently used urination areas should be rinsed regularly, especially during warm and dry weather. A pet-safe enzymatic cleaner may be used according to its manufacturer’s instructions when necessary.
No turf or infill system is maintenance-free or guaranteed to eliminate all pet odors.

Optional Tan Vinyl Privacy Fence

The optional fence scope is approximately 125 linear feet of 6-foot tan vinyl privacy fencing.
The fence price is specifically based on tan/beige vinyl. White vinyl is generally less expensive; changing to white or another color/material may require revised pricing.
Standard fence price: $7,900. Discounted cash fence price: $7,500.
Fence installation will be performed by a qualified fencing subcontractor coordinated through Kreative Gardens.

‍You may cancel this agreement within three (3) business days of signing without penalty, as required by California state law. After this period, cancellations may be subject to forfeiture of any paid deposit, restocking fees, and/or costs incurred by the contractor up to the date of cancellation.

Payment Terms

‍A deposit is due upon approval of the quote. Balance is due upon project completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, Zelle, or debit/credit (fees may apply). Failure to remit final payment may result in collections or lien proceedings.

Delays or Access Issues

Project Delays or Access Restrictions
‍The client is responsible for ensuring access to the work area. Unforeseen delays due to weather, access, hidden utilities, or client-caused schedule changes may result in rescheduling and additional costs.

Pricing Validity

This quote is valid for 15 calendar days. After that, pricing may need to be adjusted to reflect current material or labor costs. We recommend confirming your project promptly to lock in this rate.

Legal Jurisdiction

Governing Law
‍This agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in San Bernardino County, California.
